The eight counties the Community Foundation of South Jersey serves are as diverse as the people that live here; encompassing stretches of rural farm land that co-exist with pockets of densely populated and poor urban areas, mingled with wealthy suburban communities.

While the ways of life and populations vary greatly from township to township, we share many of the same social and basic needs problems—disenfranchised youth, under or uneducated adults, inadequate access to healthcare, and large populations of uninsured people, along with hunger, unemployment and inadequate housing.

We are also fortunate to live in a region with vast and fertile open land, beautiful lakes, waterways and shorelines, historic houses and cultural institutions where we can take pride in the making of great art, music and dance.

The Community Foundation of South Jersey will lead and convene on the issues that both plague our region, as well as enhance it.
