South Jersey Aging Innovation Fund Announcement
2018 CALL FOR IDEAS
BACKGROUND
In December 2015, the Cascade Corporation established the Aging Innovation Fund (AIF) at the Community Foundation of South Jersey (CFSJ) to influence solutions that improve the wellness and quality of life of older adults. Although they exited the senior living market in Cape May County, the Cascade Corporation is committed to giving back to the community they served. Over the next three years, the fund will invest over $450,000 in creative solutions for older adults (three $50,000 grants per year).
CALL FOR IDEAS
The Community Foundation of South Jersey is pleased to announce a Call for Ideas to support nonprofit organizations, community coalitions, area offices on aging, or others that seek to create solutions that improve the wellness and quality of life of older adults. Three grants of $50,000 each will be awarded this year to achieve one or more of the following goals:
- To help older adults remain active, healthy and engaged in their communities
- To offer unique support services that improve home-based, community-based and long-term care
- To protect the rights of the older adults
- To prevent abuse, neglect and exploitation of older adults
