The Ventnor Community Fund and Endowment was launched in October 2015 as a private initiative of homeowners and businesses in Ventnor.  The mission of the Community Fund is to bridge the gap between the amenities which Ventnor’s own residents wish to achieve for our town, and the inability of public budgets to pursue them.

The VCF is pursuing both Endowment (permanent fund) and Project Fundraising (current spending toward specified and approved goals). Donations to one or both are invited by the following two “Donate” links.

Endowment Fund

Our goal is to reach $1,000,000 of endowment in order to create an annual stream of income in perpetuity to fund worthy causes in Ventnor and to pay the cost of maintaining / sustaining capital projects created through the Project Funds.

Donations to the permanent fund of Endowment can be made by pressing this Donate! button:VCFE Button

Project Fund

This fund is currently seeking donations for the following four approved undertakings:

  • Replacement of deteriorated rusty playground equipment at Titus Field;
  • Installation of a permanent dog park for safe off-leash recreation by pets in a town with many dog-owning residents and seasonal visitors;
  • Support of Ventnor West Eco-tourism through clean-up and restoration of a former town dump on a large water-abutting tract of land,  which has been reclaimed by Mother Nature and now hosts numerous species of native plants as well as migratory and nesting birds inclusive of some threatened or endangered species;
  • Support of the Downtown Ventnor Initiative to improve streetscapes in commercial districts grown tired, shabby, neglected, Sandy-impacted and partially abandoned.

Donations to the Projects Fund can be made by pressing this Donate! button:
