Meet Justin Van Fleet

Justin Van Fleet headshot

The Community Foundation of South Jersey (CFSJ) wants our neighbors to know board members for their leadership and generosity. We asked board members a few questions to get to know them and learn about the values that drive their work.

Justin Van Fleet worked at Friedman LLP for 18 years and his firm recently merged with Marcum LLP. He moved to Haddonfield eight years ago and enjoys being a part of a connected community. He has no professional background in philanthropy but, thanks to his experience in accounting, he knew there was an intersection to help his neighbors give to maximum effect.

Since 2019, Justin has also had his accounting skills as board treasurer for the Community Foundation of South Jersey, making him a member of the Executive Committee. Justin is excited about learning more about the practice of philanthropy, but also to experience the motivations of CFSJ’s many donors. Justin points specifically to learning from board members Kyle Ruffin and Lois Greco, each of whom has shared their passions and gifts for philanthropy and its impact. Justin says, “Their community leadership and insight helped me see the difference philanthropy and giving done right can make. I was sold.” He loves to see the ideas and goals of CFSJ’s many fundholders come to life and produce real results for South Jersey.
