WHIP’S KIDS ACADEMY:
SUMMER 2023
Year 2 of Whip’s Kids Academy was successful, adventurous, and fun. Our children enjoyed 2 full days at the Police Academy with hands on CPR training, a fingerprint crime lab experience gathering evidence provided by the Prosecutor’s Office, speaking with a Judge exploring how the judicial system works and other entities of Law & Public Safety. Day 3 included an overnight stay in Washington, DC visiting many of the monuments, such as Lincoln, MLK, Jefferson, Vietnam War Memorial and more concluding with The White House and The Capital. Day 5 ended with a tour of our Battleship New Jersey, a barbeque by Camden’s waterfront and demos from the Sheriff’s bomb squad, robots, K9 demonstrations ending with a graduation.
This Camp is totally funded by donations and grants. All monies are put to good use; the entire week is expense free for the children; to include breakfast and lunch provided each day.
We appreciate every donation we are given and the excitement these children show lets us know we are doing something right! Thank you so much for donating. We are already excited to see what next year will bring.
