The Community Foundation of South Jersey encourages you to pledge 5% of your estate to support our nonprofit sector and create impactful changes in your community.
If more South Jersey residents include gifts to their communities and the causes they care about in their estate plans, the landscape of our region will be positively transformed forever. In addition, our charitable legacies will inspire generosity and strong community values and behaviors in other individuals, families and communities.
There are many ways to create a legacy.
- Talk to a CFSJ philanthropic advisor about including your community in your estate plans.
- Consider creating an endowment that supports the causes you care about or your favorite nonprofit by creating a designated agency fund at CFSJ.
- Set up a Charitable Gift Annuity or Charitable Remainder Trust that has tax savings and provides financial benefits like income for your lifetime.
- Transfer assets such as life insurance, retirement accounts, bank accounts, annuity contracts by changing your beneficiary designation to a CFSJ. Establish a donor-advised fund as an alternative to a private foundation and incorporate the fund into your estate plans.
